Tito Sotto tweets quote from Washington: “if u don’t read d news, you’re uninformed, if u do, you’re misinformed”

Sen. Tito Sotto tweeted a part of an interview of American actor Denzel Washington who criticized the mainstream media.

During an interview, Washington revived the famous quote of Mark Twain when he was asked about his thoughts on fake news.

“Hollywd actor said “if u don’t read d news, you’re uninformed, if u do, you’re misinformed”. Lately, its been who is first, not who is right” Sotto wrote in his tweet.

It seems that the Senator also believe that there’s something wrong with the media not only in United States but also in the Philippines.

Rodrigo Duterte who supported by Sen. Tito Sotto on his war against illegal drugs received criticisms from the international community because some news outlet was only focused in the negative things that the President said.

The President of the Philippines called the international media as “spin doctors” because they made him appear worst after he allegedly cursed US Pres. Obama.

“”Itong Amerikano, mahusay talaga. Americans can spin a story. They use a predicate or adjective that is worst to hear,” President Duterte said during his visit in Indonesia.
